If the latest lunar cycle has caused some disruption, you are in for a treat. In fact, we all are.

Venus’ transit through Sidereal Taurus June 29 to July 26 is a divine opportunity to get grounded in the most pleasing of ways. Food, wine and desserts seem to taste and smell richer under this transit, and there’s a heightened appreciation for aesthetic qualities like luster and texture that we associate with wealth.

If this sounds rather sensual, well, it is!  And given the wild astrological weather this summer, we deserve to feel good for a minute.

This is the time for candlelit dinners, to treat yourself to jewelry or clothes you’ve had your eye on, to buy (or view, or make) art.  Creativity is a lovely by-product of Venus’s strength here: the process of creating art, the fine art industry and the consumers of art for prestige and for pleasure all fall under the sign of Taurus, as does finance.

A challenge you may be noticing here is that the quality over quantity Taurus craves doesn’t come cheap.  Maybe for once we can appreciate Saturn’s steely gaze from the opposite sign of Scorpio, keeping spending in check.  Status-conscious Taurus isn’t big on wasting money anyway, as value is prized.

Rich food, fine wine, music you can fall into, sex, art, creative expression, collecting and lush natural environments all contribute to and are expressions of the beautiful surroundings of Taurus. They’re gifts that enhance our experience of life and soothe some of the rough edges.

As ever, all things in balance, remain conscious. If addictive tendencies have tripped you up in the past, treat yourself by substituting with healthier, more life affirming alternatives.  Let yourself enjoy these weeks, as things are likely to get topsy-turvy in August.
