FULL MOON IN GEMINI | MRIGASIRA NAKSHATRA
December’s full moon rose in Mrigasira, a curious exploratory star that straddles the security + comfort of Taurus with the intellectual, variety-loving nature of Gemini.
✧
This is a star where we seek our bliss + become conscious of wanting to have it all, or at least more than what we have now.
✧
The sun shines opposite from Mula nakshatra in Sagittarius. Just in time for the new year, the sun’s rays of wisdom + generosity are trying to show us the way to live more freely + authentically. In Mula speaks to the cycles of creation + destruction. The angle it takes is revealing any self-beliefs or negative habits which when we attend to them, will free us to express ourselves in a way that aligns with our true essence.
✧
Here we’re gifted with awareness + recognize the need for action, to change or let go of something that isn’t serving our truth. FYI the influence is collective.
✧
There’s simply less willingness to mask our beliefs + true self now. Mars + Mercury are aspecting the moon making it hard to keep our thoughts to ourselves. Stay mindful + conscious of the impact of bold, impulsive (Mars) communication (Merucury) … the holidays + all.
✧
In the Hindu tradition this full moon is associated with Goddess Bhairavi, ‘the one who has a fearsome roar’. Bhairavi helps us chuck our fears, access courage + express our truth, + she isn’t low-key about it.
✧
With Jupiter 9th from the moon in Aquarius we may find inspiration + support within a group or organization that shares our philosophy + vision for the future. As the collective rises in anger + rallies for change, take time to check in to ensure what we’re allocating time + energy to aligns with our values. There’s fighting energy all around. We can channel dynamism both to social causes, learning + into our personal lives.
✧
Any way we look at it, change is in the air. Be strong, stay compassionate. The results of our efforts now can be impressive.
Love,
Ayana
