Protect against negative energy & feeling unbalanced w Kashyapa Mudra, also called Tortoise Mudra.
It’s easy!
Make a gentle fist with your fingertips extended (not curled under). Insert your thumb against the web between your middle & ring fingers.
Use when suffering from fear, anxiety, feeling scattered or in need of centering. It’s great in hectic or stressful environments like airports & before interviews, & also shields during energy work like saging & space clearing.
Be discreet using Kashyapa Mudra in public. It looks like a closed fist which can be perceived as aggression. When practicing with both hands a surge of energy floods vibrant manipura chakra, the subtle body’s locus of personal power, courage & will. This mudra always activates stabilizing muladhara (root) chakra.
Try exploring shifts in your own subtle body by practicing with right, left or both hands. It’s pretty fascinating! Trust your intuition on which is most effective for you at a given time.
Like Pran Mudra which I posted on Instagram, Kashyapa Mudra is an energetic seal that HSPs & sensitive Myers-Brigg types like INFPs & INFJs can benefit from. It also benefits anyone working with astral energies such as psychics, meditators & tarot readers. It’s beautifully grounding & protective, & the effects are immediate.
Try it 5-15 minutes a day for a week.
Mudras have specialized healing capacities that have been refined over centuries. Kashyapa Mudra came to me when I moved to Bali where many forms of energy are acknowledged & revered. I’ve always been aware of subtle energies & wish I’d had the opportunity to learn this as a child.
How do you like Kashyapa Mudra? Let me know, I love hearing from you!
